Alright Already

Ok kids...just calm down. I know I've been a little slow at getting some new pics of Kristi up here, but good grief!! Just kidding, of course. Just so everyone knows, everyone is good and healthy. We were just at the doctors on October 3rd, and Aiden's heart was beating around 140 bpm. Nice strong boy! :) Anyway, enjoy the pics!!

Weekend....

Well kids, Kristi is officially 16 weeks pregnant today! Pretty exciting stuff :) Plus, we'll be finding out the gender of our little one on August 11th. Anybody want to place bets as to what we'll be having? So far it's been a mixed bag of guesses. As long as he/she is healthy, I'm perfectly fine with either. :)

Today is Saturday and you know what that means...MARKET! I was never to market until this season, but man it is fun. The quality of the produce is night and day better than anything you can find in a grocery store. Plus, it seems to be a bit cheaper, and provides a nice little weekend activity for me and the Mrs.

This afternoon we're headed to Kristi's Aunt Chris and Uncle Terry's for a little pool party. What a great day for it! Their back yard is awesome! The pool has built in seats with jets, there is a nice garden and pond area, a large sunroom, and probably the most awesome grill setup I've seen. Gives me plenty of ideas for our new house...hahaha!

Cape May 2008

Kristi and I just got back from a wonderful overnight trip to Cape May, NJ. We had a great time relaxing on the beach, shopping at the Washington St. Mall, and eating just about everything in sight!

We left our house around 8:15 Tuesday morning to start our 3 hour journey. The drive wasn't too bad, even though I found out that I may have taken the long way...oh well. We were able to check in early to the Carroll Villa Bed and Breakfast on Jackson St. Now this is the first time Kristi and I have tried the whole B&B scene, and I must say that it was a nice change of pace from the institutional hotels we usually try. It is an old Victorian mansion built in the late 1800's that was, of course, converted to a B&B. We stayed in room 6 because we found out it was the largest. I must say, the wall mounted flat panel caught me off guard too...in a good way! The room was pretty nice, although I wouldn't decorate my house with such flowery wall paper.

After checking in, we got changed and headed right to the beach. Now you must understand that our bodies don't see sun light all too often, so we were only there for about an hour or so. We went back to the room, got cleaned up, and headed out to the Washington Street Mall. Now, this is no Park City or Exton Mall. No, this is a brick paver pedestrian friendly street, with a ton of awesome little shops along the way. Kristi was searching for baby stuff like crazy! She's going to be a great mom...

We finally started getting the munchies, and headed for dinner back at the hotel. There is a restaurant on the first floor called The Mad Batter, and we had both dinner on Tuesday night and breakfast Wednesday morning there. The food was outstanding. For dinner on Tuesday, Kristi had grilled salmon with a dijon glaze while I sampled the enormous sea scallops and lobster raviolli. Both were phenominal. For breakfast the following morning, I had some blueberry pancakes, and Kristi had a vegetable ommlett. Again, both were great.

We strolled around Cape May for a few hours after breakfast and checking out, and then headed to Stone Harbor for the afternoon. We walked around, relaxed, and ate some more. The weather was beautiful, and we had a great time.

All-in-all, we had a great two day get away, that was everything we could have hoped for. I would certainly recommend the Carroll Villa to anyone who is interested, and certainly would offer up the Mad Batter as well. I can't wait to go back!

Hilton Head

Kristi and I just got back from a nice little trip with two other couples (John & Kim and Jeff & Carrie), and had an absolutely great time. We did everything from golf, shop, go to the beach, took a day trip to Savannah, and even did a little house shopping!! The weather cooperated as well...we averaged about 65 for the high. Feels odd to get a tan in February. Anybody ready to go back???

New Magazine

I just got my first issue of This Old House...what a great magazine!! I'm learning all kinds of new tricks from Norm and the guys. I've got a list of ideas about five pages long. Of course, I'd need about a 10,000 square foot house and a few million dollars to make it all work, but who's keeping track?

GIANTS WIN

As many times as we tried to give Green Bay the game, they just couldn't overcome our outstandning D. I almost had a heart attack about 10 different times!! The Giants are a different team than the beginning of the season, and we'll definitely give the Patriots a run for the money (again). If we can keep this team together, we should have one hell of a run!!

GO GIANTS!!!!

Has this been a great month for football or what...

First, Penn State dominates Texas A&M, with JoePa getting a win in his 500th game, and now the Giants are heading to the NFC championship game. As much as I bad mouth Paterno, I guess he does deserve some respect. He'll get more respect from me if they improve their offensive play calling, beat Michigan, and win a national championship. Is that too much to ask? Then today, my New York football Giants pulled out an amazing victory against the hated (and overrated) Dallas Cowgirls. The defense was awesome, as usual, and Eli had another solid performace. Next week we'll be facing Brett Favre...he's almost Paterno's age isn't he? Just kidding...I actually do like the Packers. I'm hoping for a solid game and another victory.

WE ARE PENN STATE!!

and

GO GIANTS!!

Christmas 2007

Well, Christmas was certainly a great time this year. All kinds of great memories of family, friends, gifts, and parties!

Kristi and I spent Christmas morning at my parent's place. Our neice and nephews(Sidnie, Shane, & Logan) had a great time. In the afternoon, we took a trip out to Hanover to visit Kristi's mom and siblings. More food and gifts...awesome!

We ended up throwing a nice little party on New Year's Eve, with about 20 or so people stopping in to watch the ball drop. Thanks to all who came, I hope you enjoyed yourselves!! To those who couldn't make it, be sure to mark your schedule for next year!

The only bad part about Christmas break was that it was over too soon!! Kristi and I would like to wish you all a Happy & Prosperous New Year!!
